Humyn (“we”, “us”) operates the Humyn mobile app and website at joinhumyn.com. For privacy questions, contact privacy@joinhumyn.com.
Information we collect
- Account data — email, name, profile photo, and sign-in details when you use email, Apple, or Google.
- Profile content — bio, interests, city, lifestyle details, Experiences, and other info you choose to share.
- Usage data — app interactions such as discovers, connections, messages metadata, RSVPs, and feature use needed to run the product.
- Device data — basic device/app info, push notification tokens (when enabled), and diagnostics.
- Approximate location context — city or coarse place signals you provide for discovery and maps. We do not require precise GPS for check-in today.
- Communications — messages you send in-app and reports you submit for safety.
How we use information

- Personalize your experience and Humyn Score signals
- Send transactional and (if enabled) product notifications
- Prevent abuse, enforce safety, and improve reliability
- Comply with law and respond to lawful requests
Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data with service providers that help us run Humyn (for example hosting, auth, analytics, email, and payments) under contracts that limit their use of your data. We may also share information if required by law, to protect people from harm, or with your direction.
Profile details you mark as visible may be shown to other members according to your privacy settings.
Your choices
- Edit or remove profile content in Settings
- Control privacy and notification preferences in-app
- Block or report other members
- Export or delete your account from Settings (where available)
- Contact us to request access, correction, or deletion
Data retention & security
We keep information while your account is active and as needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. We use industry-standard safeguards; no method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure.
Children
Humyn is not directed to children under 17. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us and we will take appropriate action.
Changes
We may update this policy as the product evolves. We will post the updated date above and, for material changes, provide additional notice when appropriate.
